Ghanaian defender Richard Osei Agyemang has revealed his side target for next season Africa Inter-club competition.
The highly-rated center back believes the quality of players at their disposal they will book a ticket to the group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup.
The Miners together with Asante Kotoko SC have been selected to represent Ghana in the 2020/2021 edition of the CAF inter-club competitions. Following the cancellation of the 2019/20 League Season due to Coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking in an interview with Pure FM, Osei Agyemang reveal that their target is to reach the group stages of the CAF Confederations Cup next season.
“I have the confidence that Ashanti Gold SC will reach the group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup this year.
“Last year’s participation has given us a lot of experience and we are hoping to go far this time”, Osei Agyemang said.
The Ghana Premier League giant’s, however have lost almost five of their key players who were integral members of the side that played in Africa last season. The players exited the club due to contractual issues.
Shafiu Mumuni, Latif Anabila, James Akaminko and Eric Donkor all left but the outfit remains confident in excelling as they are busy making recruitment for Africa.
