GFA TECHNICAL RACE: Local Coach Is Capable Of Handling The Task Than An Expatriate – Mohammed Polo
Ex-Ghanaian Footballer Mohammed Polo is optimistic than a Ghanaian trainer can handle the Ghana Football Association(GFA) Technical Directorate Work.
The ‘Dribbling Magician’ has send a word of notice to the Football Association over appointing the Technical Director to head the various national teams. With reports circulating in the local media that, the GFA is close on appointing an expatriate coach, Polo believes Ghanaian tacticians can proceed with the task than a foreigner.
Dr. Francis Oti Akenteng who held the position for almost a decade paved way last month and since, his departure the Association are working on appointing a new trainer.
Polo, former Hearts of Oak SC gaffer says the local coaches who applied for the position can handle it perfectly without any difficulties.
“Every Ghanaian who applied for the GFA technical director role is capable of doing the job better than any expatriate”, Mohammed Polo said on Takoradi based Spice FM.
“I have a 5 year development program to win the world cup with Ghana”, he added.
Ex-Black Queens trainer Bashiru Hayford, Coach Malik Jabir, formerly of Asante Kotoko SC are among the list of Ghanaian’s who showed interest and applied for the vacant GFA Technical Director job.
