GFA medical team meets Government medical advising team


Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum has revealed that the association’s medical team led by Dr. Baba has met the Government medical advising team over the current crisis facing the country.

According to him, the GFA medical team on last Thursday met the Government medical advising team to deliberate on the future of the football season under COVID-19. Having seen the ban on social gatherings, affecting all football related activities.

“The GFA medical team coupled with the Executives of the GFA met the government medical advising team at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday.

“The government advising team was led by Dr. Nsiah Asare and the GFA’s medical team was also led by Dr. Adam Baba, the meeting was to deliberate on the questions being asked always {To truncate or continue the league season} because they want to be sure before reverting to the Government of Ghana, ” Henry revealed to Kumasi based OTEC Fm.

“We cannot sideline the Government and do anything on our own unless we consult, dialogue, and do all the various engagement before taking any decision”

“But, we can’t challenge the Government if they insist football should still be on suspension till September or December” He added.

“We’ve given ourselves till the end of June. As an FA, we are dialoguing, consulting, taking views and exploring every single avenue or option which is available to us” He concluded
