Owner and bankroller of King Faisal, Alhaji Karim Grusah says he has not lost hope neither has he given up to his vision of becoming the next GFA President.
The seat, that Alhaji Grusah is aspiring to have, is vacant following the demise of the Kwesi Nyantakyi led administration. Due to the popular documentary video dubbed ‘number 12’ by Anas Aremeyaw.
Having seen a committee formed by FIFA/CAF to manage the game till September 2019, Alhaji Grusah says he has not abandoned his desire to lead the FA after the Normalisation Committee has left office in September.
In an interview with Accra based Asempa FM, the controversial and outspoken football administrator revealed that he will be a touch bearer of truth and equality when elected as Ghana Football Association(GFA) President.
Grusah believes the demise of the Kwesi Nyantakyi led administration was largely because of the selective justice, nepotism and cronyism that became a daily routine getting to the tail-end of his 13 year tenure in office.
“I have not given up on my dreams of leading the FA, and I assure you that I will contest the upcoming elections. I want to lead with truth and equality. I will not shield or condone wrongdoing because the perpetrators are my friends”, he said.
According to Alhaji Grusah whose clubs help churn out fine footballers such as Osei Kuffuor, there is finally some clarity regarding the future of Ghana Football following their (football administrators) meeting with the Normalisation Committee.
Club administrators have been invited by the Normalisation Committee to discuss and deliberate on the way forward as the NC starts the process of handing over the running of football to the main stakeholders come September 5th.
Part of that roadmap includes elections for new GFA President and Executives. Where a successor of former CAF Vice President Kwasi Nyantakyi will resume office. Since Nyantakyi has been sidelined with a ban aftermath the airing of number 12.
