Former Players of Ghana Premier League side Bechem United, Maxwell Frimpong and James Opoku Nyimfah has won their first trophy with Societe Omnisport of Ivory Coast.
The Ghanaian duo featured in Societe Omnisport clash against San Pedro FC, on Tuesday where they beat San Pedro FC to a shocking 3-0 scoreline.
Societe Omnisport having won the Ivorian League, was scheduled to face San Pedro FC on Tuesday for the Super Cup Clash in Ivory Coast.
The game witnessed Ghana’s duo, Maxwell Frimpong and James Opoku making a start for their side. The good game saw Ghanaian forward Maxwell Frimpong, throttle for 70-minutes whiles James Opoku Nyimfah who plays as a central back, lasted the entire duration on the pitch.
The giant trophy marks their first major wear with Societe Omnisport, since they sealed a deal to trade with the club in the ongoing transfer window, ahead of the 2019/2020 season.
They both joined the team on a two-year deal weeks ago.
The game against San Pedro FC will serve as a good test for the Ivorian giants Societe Omnisports De L’ Armee going to Africa.
Societe Omnisports De L’ Armee won the 2018–19 Côte d’Ivoire Ligue 1 and will be facing FC Nouadhibou from Mauritania in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
