Ghanaian trainer Mallam Yahaya has split out an unbelievable pan, saying Black Stars of Ghana failed to win against Benin in Group F opener due to his “Big shirt”.
The Black Stars of Ghana on Tuesday night were held to a 2-2 draw by Benin in the ongoing 2019 African cup of Nations in Ismailia stadium.
According to ex-Nzema Kotoko head coach, several factors accounted to Ghana’s poor performance on the day but most importantly the head coach shirt. Thus James Kwesi Appiah’s preferred wear at the touchline. He says, it took away Ghana’s luck, as a result failed to record first win of the tournament.
“I wasn’t impressed with the performance of Black Stars”Selection was a problem for Coach James Akwesi Appiah”.
“I’m really disappointed in Thomas Teye Partey and Christian Atsu performance. Coach James should tell them that we are not joking in Ghana”, he said to Ashh FM.
Coach Mallam Yahaya added that;”Coach James Akwesi Appiah shirt was very nice but was too big.The Shirt of coach James Appiah took away our luck that is why we drew against Benin Republic”.
“John Boye red card really affected us and lack of communication between John Boye and Kassim Nuhu Adams”, he told Ashh SuperSports.
