Karela United sold Pride for GHS 1 billion



Ghana Premier League outfit Karela United FC sold their slot to Africa for an amount of 1 billion to Asante Kotoko SC, reports.

It emerged on Sunday before the final clash of the NC special cup between Asante Kotoko SC and Karela United FC at the Baba Yara Sports, that Karela United had sold their pride to Kotoko.

Karela United who are barely a year old in the Nations topflight received, One billion from the Porcupine Warriors to play a soft game in order to urge Kotoko with the slot to next year CAF Champions League.

According to intelligence gathered by Ghanasportscenter.com some Management (3) members of Karela United gave the slot to the Reds for a sum amount of a billion Ghana Cedi, since they were not ready to partake in the 2019/2020 Africa Inter Club competition.

Stating that, the club is in crisis and needs financial back-up to settle player arrears.
